Glen West
Glen graduated from Millikin University in 1988 with a Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Music – a program that emphasized audio engineering, composition, arranging and performance. His instrument – saxophone.
Over the nine years he was on staff at Jor-Dan Recording, Glen moved from assistant editor, cutting dialog on reel to reel, to chief engineer, where he recorded everything from local metal bands to label acts to orchestras. During one memorable session, Glen was dragged from the control room to contribute background vocals on a song for an all girl Christian thrash metal band. (We’re not kidding!) (Okay, this time we’re kidding.)An audio workstation manufacturer used Glen’s services for two years as a product specialist, for which he traveled the country conducting demos and providing customer support. This travel gave valuable access to many top facilities in LA and New York. He is sure his involvement is in no way related to the company’s recent demise…
In May of 2000, Glen joined the staff of GAP Digital, in a position that pulls together his past experiences into one job. His understanding of digital audio workstations, his recording experiences, and his musical talents all combine to make up the strong contribution Glen brings to the team.
